Son of Rufus & Elsie Goldman Bowman
Paul William Bowman, 80, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at St. Francis Health Center. He was born Sept. 2, 1924, in Milltown, Ind., the son of Rufus and Elsie Goldman Bowman. Paul served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Hoisting Engineers Local No. 101 in Topeka from 1952 until retiring in 1985. He was a member of Topeka North Post No. 400 of the American Legion, Golden Rule Lodge No 90 AF&AM and Moose Lodge No. 555 of Topeka. He married Juanita Arlene Yoder on Feb. 21, 1946, in Concordia. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Paul D. Bowman, Topeka; a sister, Emma Louise Harris, Seymour, Ind.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Bowman. Mr. Bowman was cremated. A graveside memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, in Half-Day Cemetery, north US-75 Highway, east on N.W. 62nd street. A family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post No. 400 and sent in care of the funeral home.
