"James H. TUNNEL was born in Southhampton county, Virginia, June 15, 1817. Moved with his parents to Franklin county, Ohio, in 1832, was married to Marsha Ann TUBBS Sept. 8, 1842, and united with the M.E. church in 1843. He moved with his family to Wayne county, Ill., March 10, 1857.....united with the Richland Christian church in 1894. Departed this life Oct. 18, 1895, aged 78 years, 4 months and 3 days. Remains were laid to rest in Bovee cemetery….leaves an aged widow and several children and grandchildren........."
