The birth year on Judge Bramlette's tombstone is woefully incorrect! It says he was born March 1851 but that was the year he married his first wife, Adella Ann Bates. They were married March 4, 1851 in Bexar, Texas. He married 2nd Caroline "Carrie" Dillard about 1867. He married a third time to twice widowed Nancy "Nannie" (Hunt) Senter Smith, about 1886.

Further proof of his birth year and marriages is based on the following census records:
1850 Clinton Co., Kentucky, age 23, born about 1828, single
1860 Lamar Co., Texas, age 33, born about 1827, married to Adella A.
1870 Lamar Co., Texas, age 43, born about 1827, married to Caroline
1880 Lamar Co., Texas, age 53, born about 1827, married to Caroline
1900 Terrell, Kaufman Co., TX, age 74, b. March 1826, md. to Nannie"
