Obituary: Delores L. Adkins, 81, passed away at her home on Lang Street in East Liverpool early Thursday morning, June 13, 2013, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Delores was born in Logan, W.Va., on March 1, 1932, a daughter of the late Bernie and Delphia Ferrell Adkins, and had moved from Logan to Hamlin, W.Va. at the age of 13 and moved to this area in the 1950's.

A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Delores was a devoted wife and mother.

Her husband, Coney Adkins, whom she married Jan. 6, 1951, survives at home.

Also surviving are three daughters, Delores "Irene" Reynolds of East Liverpool, Marilyn "Jeanette" Barbuto of Portage, Mich., and Debbie Bell and her husband Keith, of Kent, Ohio and a son, Greg Adkins, and his wife, Lori, of East Liverpool.

Delores will be missed by her eleven grandchildren: Darrel Reynolds, Jr., Matthew Reynolds and his wife, Carlie, Jason Reynolds and his wife Amber, Elizabeth Barbuto, Paul Barbuto, Mary Barbuto, Christofer Bell and his wife Shalyn, Jaimie Bell, Benji Bell, Jordyn Adkins and Tyler Adkins and twelve great grandchildren, Hayden, Nicholas, Keegan, Tori, Lovie, Patience, Christofer Jr., Dylan, Cherish, Nylahs and Karson.

Delores was preceded in death in 1979 by a granddaughter, Katy Barbuto and seven brothers, Eugene, Harold, Ralph, Jimmy, Donald, Robert and Kenneth Adkins.

Private family services are planned for Saturday morning at the Dawson Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
