LEE ANDREWS

ADA — Services for Lee E. Andrews, 87, Ada, are 10 a.m. Monday at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home, Ada. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. Officiating will be Lonnie Roy Manuel Jr. Chickasaw Honor Guard will perform military honors.

Mr. Andrews died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Dec. 28, 1920, at Lawton to John Stanton and Effie Lou Edwards Andrews.

He married Clota Meryl Bolding Andrews Nov. 2, 1940, at Sulphur. She died in 1964. He later married Hildegard Cooper Andrews. She died in 1985. He married Mildred Myers Andrews in 1986.

Mr. Andrews served in the United States Army during World War II from 1939-1943. He owned and operated Lee’s Café in Ada for many years,worked as a salesman and owned rental property. He moved to Ada from Lawton in 1943 and was of hte Protestant faith. He was also a member of American Legion Post 72 for 50 years, a member of Ada Masonic
Lodge 119 from 1952-1962 and a member of Order of DeMolay.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Andrews and his wife Linda and Stan Andrews and his wife Vickie, all of Pampa, Texas; a stepson, Jerry Cooper, Asher; three daughters, Katherine Noralene Groves and her husband Glen, Patty McCraw, and Linda Krumholz and her husband Dan,all of Ada; a stepdaughter, Gabriel Cornish, Ada; eight
grandchildren, Diana Holland and her husband Kevin, Ginger Manuel and her husband Lonnie Jr., Gena and Kenda McCraw and Brett Krumholz, all of Ada, Kathy Nicolai and her husband Steve, Tampa, Fla., Tamera Scaccia and her husband Joe, Atlanta, Ga., and Jason Richardson and his wife Jana, Shawnee; 12 great-grandchildren; and his best friend,
Florene Weatherford.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clota Andrews; his second wife, Hildegard Andrews; a brother, Lawrence Andrews; a sister, Dorothy Berry; a brother-in-law, Hiram Berry; his parents, John and Effie Andrews; a grandson, Alan Andrews; and a great-granddaughter,Siera Nicolai.

Bearers are Jason Richardson, Brett Krumholz, Drew and Derek Wishon,Tanner Andrews and Kevin Holland.

Honorary bearers are Brandon Holland, J’Dyn Andrews, Cale and Casen Richardson, Alexander Nicolai and Caden Manuel.

Family to welcome friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home.
