Hervie "Bud" Barger, age 75, of Eddyville passed away May 10, 2013 at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, IL.
Bud was born January 5, 1938 to Clifford and Wilma (Cowan) Barger in Eldorado, IL. He was retired from GM's Electro-Motive Division (EMD) after 32 years.
Bud is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Barger; mother, Wilma Barger; children, Linda (Loren) Wood, Steven (Terrie) Barger, Teresa (David) Atwood, Linda Clarke; brothers, Billy Dean (Sharon) Barger, Kenneth (Dee) Barger; sisters, Mary Ann (Kenneth) Dennis, Brenda (Gene) Baine; grandchildren, Laura (Ron) Frailey, Loren (Kristy) Wood, Lesley Wood, Cassandra (Chirag) Dave, Dustin Barger, Brittany Barger; great grandchildren, Tommy Frailey, Amy Frailey, Alesha Frailey, Cora Barger, Mahala Barger; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Clifford Barger; brother, Lonnie Barger; sister-in-law, Thelma.
Visitation will be from 1-4 pm on Sunday May 12, 2013 at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Tuesday May 14, 2013 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home in Countryside, IL. Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Wednesday May 15, 2013 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home in Countryside, IL. Interment will follow at Lyonsville Cemetery in Indian Head Park, IL.
