Lee W. Coomes of Littleton, a professional photographer for 52 years, died Wednesday in Littleton. He was 85.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Horan and McConaty Mortuary, 3020 Federal Blvd. Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 7, 1910, in Grayson County, Va. On March 25, 1951, he married Iva Dowd in Glenwood Springs. Coomes retired from Martin Marietta as a public relations photographer. He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 17 and served as state chaplain of the Colorado State Elks for two years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and billiards.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Ron, Aurora, and Bob and Bill, both of Seaside, Ore.; a daughter, Terry Long, Englewood; a brother, Lester, Grand Junction; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
