Mr. Abraham died at his home on Friday, Oct. 19, 2007. He was 90. Born in Vicksburg on Oct. 25, 1916, he was the son of the late Elias and Helen Abraham. He was a graduate of the Vicksburg public schools. Mr. Abraham and his wife, the late Mabel E. Abraham, owned and operated the Help Yourself Food Store and Sunflower Food Store in Vicksburg for more than 38 years. He was a member of civic organizations for a number of years including the Vicksburg Rotary Club. He was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church and the Men of St. George. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a grandson:, George Ronald Abraham II; three sisters: Lillie Abraham, Mary Mack and Minnie Nader; and three brothers: Waddy Abraham, Abe Abraham and Spero Abraham. He is survived by two daughters, Katherine Abraham and Kristi Collins, both of Germantown, Tenn; two sons, Dr. George E. Abraham II and Dr. Robert M. Abraham, both of Vicksburg; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael Abraham, Trey Abraham, Elliott Collins, David Collins, Bob Bosworth, David Lynch, David Evans, Ross Lunz, Scott Burr, Jake Dornbusch, George Jabour, Jr., Jessie Johnson, Richard Thomas and Charlie James. Honorary pallbearers will be Ellis Koury, Leo Boolos, John Wayne Jabour, Charles Toney, George Tzotzolas, Dr. Thomas Sligh and the Men of St. George.
