Eileen Cole, 91, of Carthage, passed away June 10th at Hancock Memorial Hospice in Greenfield, Indiana.
She was born October 1, 1921 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of the late Vane L and Jessie F. (Robbins) Johnston. She graduated from Milroy High School in 1940 and was married to William C. Walker who preceded her in death in 1956. William C Walker was born in 1918 and the date of his death was 1956. William is buried in Moscow Cemetery in Rush County. She then married Leslie Eugene Cole in 1962 and he preceded her in death in 1990. She was a homemaker and was a past member of the Moscow Christian Church.
Left to cherish her memory include two step sons, Scott (Tammy) Cole of Carthage; Bruce Cole and a step daughter, Sheila (Steve) Dellinger and step grandchildren. Her brother, Kenneth (Ernie) Johnston of Oregon. She was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin; two sisters, Margaret Wallace and Mildred Linduer.
Private graveside services were head at the Moscow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-17118 www.cancer.org.
