Helen Jane Barker was born in Ontario, Canada on July 30, 1872. She was the daughter of James Barker and Joan Hood. She was married to William W. Blanton on July 3, 1926 in Blaine, Washington. She resided in Seattle for 55 years. She was a member of Laurelhurst United Presbyterian Church and the Elderbloom Club. She was the mother of Harold Blanton of Packwood; Mrs. Martha Cournau of Tacoma; Mrs. Hazel McKenzie of Sacramento, California and Mrs. Gladys May of San Francisco, California She also had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She died on April 24, 1960 in a hospital in Seattle, Washington. She had lived at 2023 43rd Avenue North. Funeral arrangements were by the Home Undertaking Company with cremation to follow.
