Mrs Wm. Oelrich Dies Monday Rites 1:30 Today
Funeral services will be held at the American Reformed church in Orange City at 1:30 p.m. Thursday August 13, for Mrs. Wm. Oelrich, 78, resident of Sioux County for more than 70 years, and mother of Dr. Carl Oelrich of Sioux Center, who died at the Sioux Center Communtiy hospital at noon Monday after an illness of two months duration.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. E . Van Engelenhoven and burial will be made in the Orange City cemetery under the direction of Van Eten's funeral home.
Mrs. Oelrich was born January 3, 1886 at Amsterdam Holland and came to America at the age of six with her parents.
The family settled at Orange City.
She was married to Wm. Oelrich March 14, 1906 at Orange City. The couple farmed for many years north of Orange City, prior to retiring and moving into Orange City.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Wilina (Mrs. Ver Versteeg) of Russel IA; two sons, Dr. August Oelrich of Sanford NC. And Dr. Carl Oelrich of Sioux Center; four siters Mrs. Id Hoeven of Sioux Center, Mrs. Alice DeGroot of Platte SD, Mrs. Andrew DeVries of Orange City and Mrs. Henry Hofmeyer of Orange City; two brothers, Peter Van Driel of Yankton SD and Ed Van Driel of Mora SD and 11 grandchildren.
