Professional Hockey Player. A native of Galt, Ontario, Himes played the position of Center for teams in the NHL, OHA-Jr., OIHA, OHA-Sr., Can-Am, and the IAHL hockey leagues. At 5'10, and 150lbs, Himes played for the Galt Terriers from 1918 to 1926, New York Americans from 1926 to 1935, and the New Haven Eagles from 1935 to 1937. Himes also played in the 1934 NHL Game. Himes retired from playing hockey in 1936. A member of the Westmount Golf Club in Kitchener, Ontario, he taught and played there for many years, and died there on September 14, 1958, after suffering a heart attack, at the age of 55.
