Charlie Allison Bowers
A funeral for Charlie Allison Bowers, 80, of Bayard, who died Thursday, October 18, 1990 at Angora, was Monday, October 22 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bayard Assembly of God Church with the Reverends Don Reid and Wayne Nestor officiating. Interment was in the Bayard Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the Family.
Christensen Funeral Home of Bayard was in charge of the arrangements.
Charlie was born October 5, 1910 at Angora, the son of Barnie and Mercie (Gibbs) Bowers. He moved with his parents to Wisconsin in 1915 and returned to Bayard in 1930. He married Marion Kirchhoff, November 10, 1930 at Bridgeport. He farmed and ranched in the Bayard and Angora area all of his adult life.
Survivors include his wife Marion; sons, Stanley and Dallas "Ike" both of Bayard; daughters, Bonita Case of Scottsbluff and Twilla Sinks of Bayard; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; brothers, Calvin and Lyle both of Bayard and Harry of Torrington, Wyoming and sister, Bernice Hull of Sunnyside, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, one grandson and one great grandson.
Casket Bearers were Robert Sweem, Loren Petersen, Wally Wallesen, Robert Crable, Larry Steffen and Owen Walker.
