Korean War veteran, dies
Richard W. Spriet, 49, of 1040 Second St., La Salle, died unexpectedly at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at home.
Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday in the Burgess Funeral Home, La Salle, with the Rev. Francis Kasperski officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Webster Park. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday until services at the Burgess Funeral Home, La Salle. A memorial mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in St. Hyacinth Church.
Mr. Spriet was born Sept. 10, 1934, in La Salle to Frank and Margaret Stevens Spriet. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Men's Club of the La Salle High Rise.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary Beth) Pattelli of La Salle; a son, William Spriet of La Salle; and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Tidaback of La Salle.
