She was born April 9, 1923 in Cassville, MO the daughter of Ellis and Alma {Ennis} Bishop. On August 31, 1940 in Cassville, MO she was united in marriage to Earl Benjamin "Billie" Stockton, who preceded her in death on February 19, 1997. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son-in-law, Darrel Smith and two sisters, Janet Kenyon and Maleta Center.
Surviving are one daughter, Vera Smith of Aurora, MO; five grandchildren, Tonya Smith of Aurora, MO, Marty Smith and his wife Jodi of Aurora, MO, Brian Smith and his wife Brenda of Crane, MO, Ronald Smith and his wife Rhonda of Cassville, MO and Donald Smith and his wife Debbie of Cassville, MO; nine great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
Louise lived in the Cassville area all of her life. She was a homemaker and a secretary at Union Chapel from 1970 until the church closed. Louise then volunteered at Second Act in Cassville for thirty-five years. She loved making quilts, gardening, farming, crocheting and reading her bible.
Services were held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Chaplain Jack Betts conducted the services. Burial at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins, MO.
