Services for Jerry D. Brown, 69, Cox Mill Road, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home with Joe Turner and Shelah Shelton officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until time for the service.

He died at 2:40 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011, at his home following a long illness.

A native of Hopkinsville, he was born April 17, 1942, the son of the late George Dewey Brown and Earline Shemwell Brown Lawrence.

He was a Vietnam War Navy veteran and had worked as a counselor in Civil Service at Fort Campbell.

He was a member of Linton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn M. Brown; two daughters, Laura Brown Moore, Charleston, Mo., Susan Brown, Carmel, Ind.; two brothers, Bill and Larry Lawrence, both of Trigg County; a sister, Betty Rogers, Trigg County and one grandson.
