Robert K. Bridges Resident of Watsonville, CA

Age 81, passed away Dec. 26 from heart surgery complications. Bob was born 3 June 1929 in Minneapolis, MN, to James Floyd and Gladys Mildred Ballou Bridges. A graduate of Pillsbury Military Academy and the U of MN, he served in the U S Army from 1949 to 1952, discharged from Camp San Luis Obispo, CA., later working on the staff of the SLO Telegram-Tribune. He retired as a Managment Specialist for Lockheed after almost 40 years. Active in education, he served as President of the Orcutt and Berryessa School Boards.

Bridges loved to travel. After many trips to Mexico, he traveled the world; visiting over 84 foreign countries.

Survivors include his wife Josephine Sette Bridges, daus Martha Bridges of Santa Cruz, Nancy Varlotta of La Jolla, Laura Sowders of Santa Cruz, son Lincoln Bridges of Soquel, CA, step-son Robert Barnes, and g-children Alan Varlotta, Elijah Manchester, Collin Bridges, Lily and Leilani Barnes.
