ANDERSON Marcellus C. Anderson, Departed this life August 17, 2000, Marcellus C. Anderson, of Beaverdam. He is survived by 11 children, Gladys, Charles, Edward, Mattie, Joyce, Levi, Nora and Earl Anderson, Mrs. Myrtle Shelly, Mrs. Helen Derricott and Mrs. Pamela Lewis; four sisters, Rev. Iola Smith, Mrs. Anna Smith, Mrs. Sylvester Dabney and Mrs. Estelle Curtis; 35 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, five brothers-in-law, two sons-in-law, four daughters-in-law, a number of nieces andnephews, other relatives and many friends.
Remains rest at the F.E. Dabney Funeral Home, Henry St., Ashland. Funeral Monday, 2 p.m. at St. James Baptist Church, Beaverdam, Rev. W.T. Carter, Pastor, officiating. Interment church cemetery. Remains will rest in church one hour prior to service. The Dabneys' Morticians in charge of arrangements.
