Larry Francis Schott was born September 11, 1949, in Emmetsburg, IA, the son of Francis Charles and Marjorie Ann (Stoulil) Schott. He attended elementary and high school at St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Waukon, and graduated from Havelock High School in Havelock, IA, in 1968. Butch served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrician for 10 years, before becoming a property manager in the Columbus, GA area. Butch enjoyed playing cards, watching old westerns on TV and classic cars. He loved to tell stories and jokes and had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his daughter Emily Schott of Auburn, AL; 4 sisters: Marjean Fahey, of Waukon, Dee Ford of Harpers Ferry, Joyce (Doug) Haas of Waukon, and Karen (Bob) Wagner of Belvidere, IL. He is preceded in death by parents.
