Sometimes written John Turner Saunders Ogletree.

Not sure he is buried here, but he was reportedly killed in the Battle at Missionary Ridge. His grandson Dr. W.D. Ogletree wrote that he was buried near the battle field but did not state whether it was at the Confederate Cemetery or the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

According to WPA records, there was a John T. Saunders buried at Citizens Cemetery in Chattanooga (Memorial #84953957). It's not known if this was John T.S. Ogeltree.

John Turner Sanders Ogletree was born in Tennessee but lived most of his life in Talladega County, Alabama.
He was a grandson of John Saunders and Ruth Reeves; great-grandson of Jesse Saunders and Jane Ann Yancey; great-great-grandson of William Saunders and Elizabeth Hubbard.

His grandfather John Saunders was a first cousin of Rev. Turner Saunders of Saunders Hall, Lawrence County, AL.. His mother Mary Sanders Ogletree was a second cousin of Col. James Edmonds Saunders, of Rocky Hill Castle and author of Early Settlers of Alabama.
