Rosemary Hankins, age 82, of Comanche, Oklahoma, formerly
of Eldorado, passed away Sunday evening, June 9, 2013, at
Comanche County Memorial Hospital, in Lawton.

Mrs. Hankins was born in Ft. Stockton, Texas on May 4, 1931,
to Virgil H. and Minnie Deyn (Alter) Guy. Moving to Eldorado
in 1937, Rosemary began school in Eldorado and moved for a
short time to Chillicothe, Texas. Later she lived in Midwest
City, Oklahoma, but found her way to Blair after her father, a
newspaper editor, purchased the Blair paper. On August 6,
1949, Rosemary married Vern "Jiggie" Hankins, in Quanah,
Texas, and they spent the next sixty-three years together before
her death. After establishing their first home in Eldorado, they
lived in several locations due to Jiggie's jobs. From 1952 until
1963, Jiggie worked for a power company in Wellton, Arizona
and after that they farmed in the area. In 1984, they moved to
Tulia, Texas, where they farmed, until moving to the
Comanche, Oklahoma area in 1997, where they continued to
farm, until her death. A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother,
sister and friend, Rosemary loved to crochet, cook, entertain her
grandchildren and play games. She and Jiggie enjoyed playing
dominoes, but her favorite was "just one more game" of Spite
and Malice.

Preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Johnny Lynn
Hankins and Kelly Joe Hankins; two sisters, Norma Ruth
Tawater and Virginia Kelly and four brothers, Bill Guy, Don
Guy, Bobby Guy and Franklin Guy, she is survived by her
