Mrs. Fannie Burns Phillips, 86, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 5:45 PM at her residence in Homeland, Ca. surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held from 4-8PM on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Evans Brown Sun City Mortuary, 27010 Encanto Drive in Sun City, California. Private family burial will follow at the Riverside National Cemetery.

Mrs. Phillips was born on October 7, 1926 to the late Harry and Lula Burns of Kenton Town, KY. Mrs. Phillips moved to Ca. in 1951 and retired from McCullough Chainsaw Corp. in 1974.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ray O. Phillips; 2 sons, Raylee Phillips (Helen) of Redondo Beach, Ca., John W. Phillips (Frances) of Cedar grove, TN and 3 grandchildren, Tim Phillips, Jennette Phillips Toderick (Michael) of California and Jamie Phillips Bryan (Shawn) of KY, great-granddaughter Gabby Bryan of KY and expecting the addition of 2 great grandchildren to granddaughters Mrs. Toderick and Mrs. Bryan. Mrs. Phillips is also survived by special niece Lola Burns Royalty of Ohio. Mrs. Phillips is survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Phillips is preceded in death by siblings, Luella White, Jack Burns, Willie Burns, Arthur Curtis and Earl Curtis, all of Kentucky and Ohio.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Cancer Association.

The family wishes to thank all the hospice staff and others caring for Mrs. Phillips during this difficult time. We can never thank you enough for your love and care.
