Darrell E. Edwards, 65, of Peru passed away at 11:43 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Seton Specialty Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on July 11, 1947 in Deshler, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Ralph and Velda (Robison) Edwards.

Darrell was a union construction worker and a member of Local #103. He was also a CB and amateur radio operator.

Survivors include his wife, Veronica Lear of Peru, daughters, Cynthia Edwards and Dennise Edwards both of Nebraska, step son, Martin Maxwell (Kimberly) of Logansport and step daughter, Tammy Loughlin of Rhode Island, sisters, Barbara Maggard of Texas, Sandy Kerston of Virginia and Linda Edwards of West Virginia and special niece, Desiree Hope Harder of West Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He is also preceded in death by daughter, Michelle Edwards.

Graveside Services with military rites will be conducted at Marion National Cemetery on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
