Andrea McKee Ray, 48, was a daughter of the late Dr. Raymond Andrew McKee and Glenda Thomas McKee.
She graduated from Cherryville High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism. While in Journalism School she was a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, a national journalism honorary society that selects students academically ranked in the top 10 percent of the School of Journalism. Andrea was retired from Duke Power where she worked in public relations.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Thomas Lee McKee.
Interment in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
