The funeral for Randy R. Holder, 30, of 7 Public Square, Watertown, was scheduled for 10 a.m. today at the D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bruce W. Chapman officiating. Burial was to be in North Watertown Cemetery.

Mr. Holder hung himself Saturday, 24 hours after he was arrested for fighting. The death was ruled a suicide by the Jefferson County Medical Examiner's office.

Surviving are a son, Anthony, Watertown; his mother, Barbara Holder, Mercer, Pa.; four brothers, Charles R. Jr., Germany, Terry L., Watertown, Gary W., Mercer, and Archie R., Pulaski; six sisters, Mrs. Morris (Barbara) Hoffman and Susan Bartlett, both of Mercer, Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Barnett and Sandy Labrie, both of Watertown, Mrs. Richard (Cheryl) Goodfriend, Dexter, and Connie Evans, Clayton; a half brother, George Goodfriend, North Carolina; his paternal grandmother, Rose Holder, Brownville; his maternal grandmother, Ethel Goodfriend, South Carolina; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was born May 21, 1961, in Watertown, and attended Watertown schools. His father, Charles Holder, died in 1987.

Mr. Holder served in the Army from 1980 to 1982. He was a mechanic with the Trotter Equipment Co. on outer Washington Street until 1990.
