Velma was an avid bridge player for many years and was known for her tatting, knitting and crocheting of many afghans. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Messalunskit Chapter 170, in New Sharon, and the New Sharon United Church of Christ.
Velma was predeceased by her husband, Herman O. Pearson. She is survived by her daughter, Jayne Browning; three grandchildren, Sherry Ames, Tim Browning and Karen Dove; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for family and friends will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Fairview Cemetery, Farmington, with the Rev. John Tolman officiating.(Morning Sentinel 7/23/2013)
