Anna was the daughter of Peter Arens and Margaretha Schmitt.
Anna Arens married Johann Gasper in Schleidweiler, Kreis Trier-Saarburg, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany, on 17 Feb 1828.
Together they had 8 children, all of whom were born in Schleidweiler:
Marie Magdalena Gasper (1828 - 1831)
Anton Gasper (1829 - 1836)
Catharina Gasper (1832 - 1835)
Margaretha Gasper Prinz (1834 - 1907)
Matthias Gasper (1837 - 1837)
Leonard Gasper (1838 - 1873)
Anton Gasper 1841 - 1927)
Nicholas Gasper (1843 - 1884)
Anna arrived in America on the ship "Vaderland" on 17 May 1877 along with family and others from Schleidweiler, but her husband appears to have died before this date. She and the others from Schleidweiler joined others from their village who had preceded them, in Tipton, Kansas.
