Don Markham
1950 - 2013


At the Veterans Hospital on June 6, 2013 Don was surrounded by his loving family as he passed away from complications of chemo. He was born in Eugene, or on Sept. 15, 1950. He was raised in Pleasant Hill, entering the Army out of high school. He was proud to have served as a Vietnam veteran. After his service, he then moved to Salem where he raised Christmas trees with his wife for 25 years. He had been a member of the Northwest Tree Association for 35 years. He enjoyed gun collecting and being a full time RV'er. He leaves behind, Jane, his wife of 44 years; and his son, John; daughter-in-law, Amy; seven grandchildren: Kyle, Cody, Rachelle, Conner, Jordan, Milkkele and Tawni. Sister, Sue Huffman; brothers: Hal Markham and Howard Harris. Visitation will be Friday June 14 @ Crown Memorial, 412 Lancaster Dr. NE, Salem from 1:00-5:00 p.m., Graveside services will be @ 2:00 p.m. on Sat. June 15th @the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Hill Or.
