George W. Mack, a well known citizen of Clarion township, died at his home on the pike near Clarion at 7 o'clock Wednesday morning, February 24. Four weeks ago Monday he took sick with pneumonia which was followed by a stroke of paralysis which caused his death. Mr. Mack was 60 years old last January and was the son of Jacob and Sarah Mack of Putneyville. Since his marriage on September 5, 1882 to Anna Wilson of near Clarion, they have been residents near this place. To this union were born the following children who are now all at home: Mrs. Ruth Frampton of Frampton, John W. of May, W. Va., Sarah Nancy, Howard Hudson, Ella M. and Anna Margaret all residing at home. His father aged 89 years who is spending this winter with his son, survives; also three brothers and one sister, David and William of Franklin, Benj. of Toledo, Ohio. and Mrs. George Markle of Putneyville. The deceased has been a faithful member of Rehoboth Presbyterian church until the last communion service in the Presbyterian church of Clarion in January when he joined by letter. The funeral services will be held at his late home Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock by his pastor Rev. W.F. Fleming. Interment will be made at Rehoboth cemetery.
