Husband of Paula Lyda Parris, he was born in Lenoir, N.C., a son of the late Jack W. and Edith Mays Parris.
Mr. Parris was a U.S. Army veteran and was an associate of Gregory Pest Prevention.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Marshall Burnett, of Mauldin; sisters, Cheryl Whitley of Simpsonville, Deborah Jones of Greenville, and Vicki Walker of Franklin, N.C.; brothers, Jack W. Parris Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., Gary Parris of Simpsonville, Brian Parris of Greenville, and Tracy Parris of Valle Crucis, N.C.; and his mother-in-law, Estivee Lyda, of Greenville.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens.
