John David Samples, 74, died in Largo, Pinellas, Florida. He came from Rainelle, West Virginia to Largo in 1970. He had been a dispatcher for the C & O Railroad from 1933 to 1970. Mr. Samples was a member of Brotherhood of Railway Clerks, OES and he was a Mason. He was predeceased in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Gladys L. Moreland Samples. Survivors include his wife, Helena Faulconer Samples; two sons, John D. Samples and Roy A. Faulconer; four daughters, Monna Alice Samples Tincher, Nancy Faulconer Sands, Jean Faulconer Williams, and Carolyn Faulconer Haibon; a brother and sister, fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Burial in Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Crawley, West Virginia.
