CANADIAN — Mable Woods, 96, of Canadian died Sunday, June 9, 2013.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Danny Sanders officiating. Private burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian.

Mable was born June 7, 1917, in Atoka County, Okla., to Mr. Jodie Wilson and Mrs. Ora Brooks Wilson. She attended schools in Canadian. She married Leroy Woods on Nov. 10, 1943, in Vernon. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1988. Mable worked at a laundry in Amarillo for a number of years. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She also was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include two brothers, Rhea Wilson and wife Pat and Kelly Wilson and wife Laura, all of Canadian; and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
