Carl was born June 1, 1935 in Greenville, AL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed with Joe Scott Motor Co for 45 years as a mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved fishing and going to the lake. Carl enjoyed helping others and was always there to help when he was needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Nellie Freeman; daughter, Susan Jane Freeman; brother, Ed Freeman. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Brenda Freeman; children, Judi Carden, Jamie Freeman (Carol), Randy Freeman, Tammy Holman (Richard), Sharon Wise (Richard), Susan Galford (Larry), Debbie Wetherill (Gene); sisters, Carolyn Hilyer (Earl), Louise Hilyer; brother, Jack Freeman; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the ICU staff at Prattville Baptist Hospital for the care they gave to Mr. Freeman.
