Under the terms of father's will, he John Hulins received the family house and lands at his mother's death. In 1639 he was a yeoman at Rodborough. His will dated 24 Jan 1638; it names wife Margaret and children Henry, Lawrence, John Margaret Blisse, Joane Beard, Alice Browne, Mary. The will directs that he be buried in the churchyard of Rodborough. He willed his house and lands to son Henry, on the condition that Henry pay the legacies stipulated in the will.

John's wife is given the name by many as "Margaret Lawrence" there appears to be no basis for this other that one of her sons was given the name Lawrence. See American Genealogist, Oct 1976 (v 52 No 4), pp 193-197.
