Mildred Irene McCune Sowell, 86, passed away on June 8, 2013 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Evan Weiss officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sowell was born June 1, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence & Gladys Davis. She worked as an LVN for many years.
Mrs. Sowell is survived by three daughters: Dorothy Farmer & husband Ronald of Hale Center, Sheila Hall of Silverton and Cindy Pfeiffer &husband James of Kyle; two brothers: Raymond Davis of Junction and Carl Davis of Gilmer; one sister: Virginia Rayburn of Ashburn, VA; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Howard and Richard Davis.
