Joyce was born in Science Hill, Kentucky on May 25th, 1945, daughter of the late Robert Wallace and Ella Christine Godby. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Joyce was survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Joe Steve Wesley, whom she married on March 1st, 1962; two daughters, Jo Anne (and Terry) Hobbs and Jennifer (and Kenneth) Albers; three brothers, Ronald (and Debbie) Godby, Donald (and Carla) Godby, and Billy (and Tina) Wilson; four sisters, Sue (and Charlie) Woodall, Peggy Phelps, Sandra Wallan, and Debra Goodman; one aunt, Rosa Mae Taylor; special nieces and nephews including Ricky and Paula Anderson and Savanna Dawn; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Wallace and Ella Christine Godby; one brother, Douglas Godby; and one sister, Brenda Chance.
Visitations were held after 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13th, 2013 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13th, 2013 in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Muse officiating.
Burial followed in the Mount Zion Methodist Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
