Lena Angelina Caldwell
Lena Angelina Caldwell, 75, of Black Mountain, passed away Thursday evening, May 25, 2006, at home with her family by her side.
She was born in Jackson County on June 14, 1930, the daughter of the late Cicero Crawford and Myrtle Robinson Crawford.
Lena attended Mt. View Church. Her hobbies included gardening and she received the most joy from the time she spent with her family.
Lena was predeceased by her parents and her daughter, Jackie Hollifield.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack Caldwell, of the home; two sons, John Caldwell and his wife, Angie, of Dickson, Tenn., and Jeff Caldwell and his wife, Regina, of Raleigh; three brothers, Clyde, Earl, and Carl Crawford; five sisters, Kate Chesney, Evelyn Turpin, Harriett Wood, Louise Sutton, and Ethel Airington; six grandchildren, Austin, Payton and Britney Caldwell, Dennis and Crystal Core, and Autumn Hollifield; two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Cailyn Hollifield; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Monday, May 29, in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, with Rev. Kevin Bennett officiating. Interment followed in Mt. View Memorial Park.
