PANSEY. . .Jacob Scott Armstrong, a resident of Pansey, died early Sunday morning, June 9, 2013, along with his beloved mother, Holly White, age 29, as a result of injuries, received in a motor vehicle accident which occurred near Columbia. He was 7.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 13, 2013, in the First Baptist Church of Columbia with Pastor Randall Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia City Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Ashford Elementary School Library Fund, 100 Barfield Street, Ashford, AL 36312.
Jacob Scott Armstrong recently completed the first grade at Ashford Elementary School where he excelled as a student and especially in reading. Jacob participated in T-Ball with the Ashford Recreation Department. He was a member of the Watermark Church in Ashford. Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rufus Scott White.
Surviving relatives include his father, Jeremy Joe Armstrong and his wife, Tamara Forrester Armstrong, a brother, Jordan Armstrong; grandparents, Jerry and Elizabeth Rogers Armstrong; Ceceilia White, all of Columbia; and Larry and Pam Forrester, Webb; great-grandmother, Lora Bowen Woodham, Columbia; aunts, Veronica Hughes (David), Paige Ingram (Jessie), and Chanda Collins (Carey); uncles, William Lawson (Kathi), and Kevin White (Leshia); cousins, Vanna, Regan, Kennedy, Emma, Colt, Jaye, Jeremiah, Chloe, and Chase.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Kevin White, Jessie Ingram, William Lawson, Jordan Armstrong, Brad Knighton, Mark Harper, and Peyton Lowman.
