Bertha Ellen and her husband Frederick both had German heritage. They were married about 51 years until his death in 1943. They also both came from farming families. And lived on a farm/ranch during the early years of their marriage. They had two sons: Worthy Boerstler & Kenneth Harley Rehkoft. And Fred did carpentry work with Kenneth in the Monrovia, CA area later in his life. One has to wonder the impact WW II with Germany had on their lives. JT
