Tracy "Buddy" Cox, 84, of Screven, GA, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Orlando, FL, native had lived in Wayne Co., GA, the past 14 years, was a Baptist and a heavy equipment operator. He was predeceased by 2 sons: Avery Cox and Wiley Cox, a brother, 4 sisters, mother and father.
Survivors are his wife of 24 years: Sheila Cox of Screven, GA, 7 daughters: Carolyn Cox of Screven, GA, Laura Landon of Odum, GA, Tina Lavender of Jesup, GA, Charlotte McDaniel of Port Arthur, TX, Cindy Parson of Ft. Payne, AL, Wanda Cox of Lake Wales, FL, Alice Cox of Dade City, FL, 3 sons: Tommy Cox of Opelika, AL, Tracy Cox of Screven, GA, Jerry Cox of Cross City, FL, 2 sisters: Violet Willhoite of Ft. Pierce, FL, Betty Alfaro of Interlachen, FL, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held 3 P. M. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Screven City Cemetery with Ralph Cox officiating.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 P. M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
