Widely Known Bridges Farmer Claimed
Services for Benjamin Barrett, 81, at Hardin's Church.
Funeral rites will be read at 2 P.M. Saturday from the Hardin's Creek Church for Benjamin H. Barrett, prominent farmer of the Leesburg-Bridges Community who died Wednesday night at his home, four days short of his eighty-second birthday.
Rev. Frank Milner and Rev. Joseh Hoskins will be in charge of the service.
Burial will be made in the Bridges Cemetery by R. B. Walker.
The son of Ellis and Mary Barrett, the deceased was born February 18, 1858, near Leesburg, and spent his entire life in that vicinity.
Survivors include the widow, Mary Barrett; two daughters, Mrs. Austie Small and Mrs. Bertha Worley, both of near Leesburg; two sisters, Mrs. Sidney Banks of Greenfield, and Mrs. Ruth Ruble of Lynchburg; and one brother, Adam Barrett of near Leesburg.
Relatives and friends may view the body at the late residence until 1 P.M. Saturday, when the remains will be removed to the church.
