ORWELL, VT. - Ronald "Ron" Robert McGuire Sr., age 73, passed away on Wednesday, December 1st 2021 at the Helen Porter Health & Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury, Vt.
Ron was born on August 5th 1948 in Ticonderoga, N.Y., he was the son of Robert and Dorothy (Scharpf) McGuire, one of ten children.
He grew up in New York State where he received his education.
He married Ruth Marie Patterson on July 14th 1973 in Florida City, Florida, where he worked for Withers Moving and Storage for several years. Together they had two children; one daughter and one son.
He moved his family to Orwell, Vt. in 1978, and began working for Bill Smith Auto Sales and later for Bud Carpenter at County Motors.
In 1987 he Founded, Owned, and Operated McGuire Enterprises on North Orwell Road in Orwell, Vt.
He was a member of Independence Masonic Lodge in Orwell, Vt.
He enjoyed car restoration and was extremely proud of caring for his property.
He was predeceased by his parents, one son; Ronald "Ronnie" Robert McGuire Jr. on February 28th 1998, and two brothers; Donald McGuire and Larry Franklin McGuire on September 3rd 1994.

The graveside committal service and burial will take place will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25th 2022 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Orwell, Vt.
