MATTOON — Patsy R. Cooper, age 86 of Mattoon IL passed away at 3:58 P.M., on June 7, 2013 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital in Mattoon, IL.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will begin at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Ave., Mattoon, IL 61938, with Reverend Marilyn Dudley officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Mattoon, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, in Mattoon, IL.
Patsy was born November 16, 1926 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Patrick and Mary (Sabo) Lee. She married Lowell D. Cooper, May 9, 1954 in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2006.
Survivors include her daughter Stephanie Young and her husband Rodney of Mattoon, IL; two Grandchildren, Jon Brumfield of Mattoon, IL and Patrick Young of Mattoon, IL; Four Great-Grandchildren. Patrick Young Jr. of Mattoon, IL, Kegan Young of Mattoon, IL, Olivia O'Neill of Houston, TX and Kayleigh Young of Marshall, IL and one brother, Donald R. Lee and his wife Edna of Wagner, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son Lowell Lee Cooper.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church in Mattoon, IL. and the Coles County Home Extension. She enjoyed spending her time reading and working cross word puzzles with her friends. However, she truly valued time spent with her family and will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
