Edward R. Anderson

Edward Riley Anderson, 57, of 2200-1/2 Charleston was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital at 9:50 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Scott officiating. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery, Arcola. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Anderson was born Aug. 27, 1915, near Arcola, a son of Grover Cleveland and Pansy Own Warner Anderson. He married Mary Slough March 23, 1973. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Paul E. of Mattoon; a daughter, Miss Karen Sue Anderson of Mattoon; a brother, Leonard E. of Griffith, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Lillian) Perkins of Arcola; and one grandchild.

A welder at Blaw Knox Co. for 17 years, he was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Dorans.
