Rhonda Gale Sipes, 51, of Crowder, died Thursday June 6, 2013, at her home. Born July 8, 1961 in Holdenville, she was the daughter of Cecil and Loretta (Keefer) Cox. Her early childhood was spent in McAlester until her family moved to Crowder, where she finished school. She worked in the cafeteria at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary for more than 10 years, then worked at Simonton Windows for about eight years, until Simonton closed. She enjoyed fishing. She was a member of the Ulan Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Sipes, of the home; parents, Cecil and Loretta Cox, of Crowder; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and Joel Scarbrough, of Howe, Texas, Terri and Wayne Workman, of Arpelar; nephews and niece, Joseph Cox, Bryan Cox, Shawn Scarbrough, Erin Scarbrough; mother-in-law Velma Sipes; and, several aunts, uncles and cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Sipes. Funeral services will 10 a.m. Monday at Crowder Cemetery Pavilion officiated by the Rev. Pete Butler. Pallbearers will be Wesley Harness, Dave Dawson, Bryan Cox, Wayne Workman and Joseph Cox.
