In a long, melancholy, struggle against cancer, a great, strong, loving man journeyed to a place to struggle no more; Heaven.
Lynn R. Evans, the most amazing husband, father, and grandfather, passed away early Monday morning, September 3, 2012.
He was born on January 30, 1955, in Rome,
the son of Robert and Marcia Campbell Evans.
He was a graduate of Camden Central High School, Class of 1973.
On August 31, 1974, Lynn was united in marriage to Melanie Wade.
Lynn was employed by Mid Air for several years.
In his youth, Lynn was an avid jock excelling at football and basketball.
Later, he enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
While Lynn enjoyed the outdoors and sports, he most importantly loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling with his wife.
He was a loving, thoughtful, and caring husband, father, and grandfather.
Lynn was more determined than anyone to beat his cancer nemesis that took him far too young from the people who loved him and that he loved most.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Melanie;
a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Richard, a son, Adam
three grandchildren, Richie, Zoe, and Mia.
Lynn also leaves behind a large, loving family of brothers, sisters, in-laws, and friends whom loved and respected him.
He will forever live in our hears and will never be forgotten.
