LITTLETON, Colo. - Services for Charles C. Bennett, 79, of Longview will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Chapel Hill Mortuary in Littleton, Colo. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bennett died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, in Longview, Texas. He was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Coffeyville, Kansas
He was a Seaman First Class with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was retired from the L.A. County flood control.
Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by a son, Robert C. Bennett and a daughter, Dana Bachman.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie M. Bennett of Longview, Texas; daughter, Doris Dale of Udall, Kan.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Longview Cancer Center.
