Millard Cox

HINDSBORO — Millard C. Cox, 78, of Hindsboro died at 1:45 a.m. Monday (April 8, 1991) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born June 13, 1912, in Douglas County, the son of James and Mary Creviston Cox. He married Joy Miller in 1940; she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, James Cox of Marengo and Gene Cox of Riverton; a sister, Mrs. Tracy Carpenter of Tuscola; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Mr. Cox was a retired farmer. He was a former Bowdre Township road commissioner for 12 years, a member of the Mt. Gilead Methodist Church, the SAR of Decatur, and the Illinois Township Officials Association.

Memorials may be made to the Lincoln Land Visiting Nurses Association.
