The services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Franklin Missionary Church with the Rev. Bryan Balasa officiating. Burial was in Red Cloud Cemetery. Simonsen-Williams Funeral Home, Red Cloud, was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Coon was born April 29, 1938, to Roy H. and Hazel (Martin) Henderson in Smith County, Kansas. She attended rural school and in 1956 graduated from Red Cloud High School.
In June 1956, she married Dean Shuck. They lived in several communities in south central Nebraska before settling in Adams. She worked for Campbell Soup in Tecumseh. They divorced in 1972. Oct. 24, 1975, she married George Coon. They lived in Superior until 1984 when they moved to Franklin.
She attended Franklin Missionary Church and was a member of the Bible study group.
Survivors include her husband, George; two daughters, Brenda Hoyer, Greeley, Colo., and Dianne Johnson, Overland Park; two sons, Gary Shuck, Aurora, Colo., and Kirk Shuck, Grand Island; one stepdaughter, Darla McGahan, Yuma, Ariz.; her mother, Hazel Henderson, Red Cloud; two brothers, Ivan Henderson, Blue Hill, and Howard Henderson, Douglas, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Shuck, and two brothers.
