Mrs. Murphy, 79, Of Arcola Dies
ARCOLA, Ill. — Mrs. William Murphy, 79, of Arcola, died at Jarman Hospital, Tuscola, at 7 p.m. Tuesday following an illness of several weeks.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Shrader funeral home, Arcola, the Rev. Kenneth Watts, of the Nazarene Church, officiating. Burial will be in Arcola cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday afternoon and evening.
Mrs. Murphy was born Aug. 7, 1877, at Newton, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Ellison. She was married to William Murphy Sept. 7, 1900, and the couple lived in Arcola fort he past 35 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by six children; Charles and Walter, of Arcola; John, Mogadore, Ohio; Mrs. Flossie McCollough, of Chicago; Mrs. Goldie Baker, of Mt. Olive; Mrs. Neoma Boling, Denver, Colo.; a brother, Isaac, of Olney; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
